Our farm was the passion of my wife's father for 30 years, who cultivated the land and grew a large area of vegetables he called "the garden", just for fun. Most of what was grown was given to friends and family throughout Waterford.

I didn't get interested until 2017, when a lifelong battle with Crohn's disease, led me to believe that the root of IBS was an issue with the growing practices of large-scale commercial produce. After many youtube videos and with my father in laws help, I quickly learned how to grow a variety of vegetables. Four years later, our farm season kicked off the 2021 season at the Waterford farmers market where we get to showcase the care and quality we put in to our growing practices. We have sold produce to 5-star restaurants in Mystic as well as a few others in New London county.

The farm has now adapted the practice of no soil tillage, no chemical fertilizers and no pesticides and focuses solely on soil health. The seeds we choose are carefully selected for their taste and feedback from gourmet chefs that we work within the area. We are the CT representative of Row 7 seeds, the brainchild of renowned Chef Dan Barber, who we are trialing several experimental varieties in conjunction with Chef James Wayman, who both share our passion to strive for providing the best tasting produce possible.
