We grow Organic Garlic from the previous years largest bulbs. We try to have 4 to 8 varieties mostly hardneck and atleast 1 softneck. By planting in October our garlic emerges with the crocus and sprouts Scapes in late May / early June. After harvesting the scapes and feeding one last time, it's all up to Mother Nature to finish growing the bulb. We harvest in July and lay our garlic to cure on drying racks under our barn. At long last we get to turn some in to Black Garlic, others in to Powder and the rest awaits fresh in the stand at the farm or laid out ready for purchase at local Farmer's Markets. We bring our Black Garlic and other Garlic products and oils to CT Garlic Festivals: Mystic in September & Bethlehem in October. Hope to meet you there!
